Gluck (1895–1978), born Hannah Gluckstein, was a British painter known for their distinctive style, gender nonconformity, and commitment to artistic integrity. Gluck rejected gendered titles and was simply known as “Gluck,” using no prefix. Their work focused on portraiture and still life, and they became prominent in the early 20th century.
One of Gluck’s most notable contributions to art presentation was the invention of the "Gluck frame", a unique, patented design. This frame consisted of three tiers that seamlessly integrated the painting, mount, and frame into a single unified object.
