Giving Wood a Second Life: Our Partnership with Woodwork for Wellbeing

At Frame London, we always strive to work sustainably and use as much of each piece of wood as possible when crafting our frames — not only to reduce waste, but also to honour the natural material we're working with.

However, to meet our clients' expectations around wood tone and grain matching, it's sometimes necessary to select specific lengths or pieces. As a result, we're often left with offcuts — high-quality wood that, while not usable for frames, is far too good to throw away.

To make use of these leftover materials, we’ve launched a small range of wooden products available in our shop. Due to time and space limitations, however, we can't repurpose everything ourselves.

That’s why, for some time now, we’ve been donating our excess wood to Woodwork for Wellbeing — a brilliant local charity based in Bethnal Green. They run relaxed, inclusive woodworking sessions designed to support mental health, reduce isolation, and bring people together through creativity and craftsmanship.

Their members use our offcuts to create everything from tables and crates to trinket boxes, Christmas decorations, and more. The results are amazing — and show how waste can become something new and interesting in the right hands.

We’re proud to support the work Woodwork for Wellbeing is doing, and excited to see what their community creates with each new batch of wood.

Visit their website to learn more about their work, and see some of the incredible pieces made using our offcuts!
