Interview with the artist Donna Huddleston
Emily and Daniel caught up with Donna in her studio to deliver one of her editions, to talk framing and the process of making ‘The Hag’, the latest of our FRAME Editions, a series of artist collaborations in which the frame becomes part of the artwork. (Available to buy here now).
FRAME Edition with Aimée Parrott
We’re pleased to announce a new edition with Aimée Parrott, launched to coincide with her solo exhibition at Broadway Gallery, Letchworth Garden City.
Juno's Volute is the second edition to be published by FRAME Editions - a series of collaborations between artist and framer in the tradition of artist's frames. It is a series of ten individual monotypes linked by process and form, overlaid with translucent washes of acrylic ink on glass. The frame has been designed to provide a structure for the various layers to interact.
New Artists' Edition by Marc Camille Chaimowicz
We're delighted to announce the latest FRAME Editions collaboration - a special new artists’ edition by Marc Camille Chaimowicz co-produced with Nottingham Contemporary, created to celebrate their tenth anniversary.
The edition which comes in a frame designed by the artist, is conceived as a colour-study for a silk scarf. The repeat pattern, printed in five colours, is split into two halves to imply a fold in the fabric, front and back. Each edition is printed onto a hand-applied background in a colour which recurs in the frame design - resulting in each work being slightly different.
Introducing FRAME Editions
We're delighted to announce FRAME Editions - a new project celebrating the relationship between artist and craftsperson with an experimental series of limited edition artworks.
Launching this September, with Aaron Angell is a small edition of works titled Cabbage Solar. Each work is painted on glass and housed in a frame inspired by the techniques used to make Tudor doll's houses.
