We're now looking for a Freelance Mounting Technician to join our passionate, skilled team.
Summary of the Role
Frame London is seeking an experienced Freelance Mounting Technician to join our busy conservation framing workshop.
The successful candidate will have expert knowledge of museum-standard, conservation-grade materials, including the preparation and use of wheat starch paste. Extensive experience in Japanese hinge mounting is essential.
The role requires proven skills in:
Cutting mounts both by hand and using a Valiani mount cutter.
Custom-made photo corners
Stitch mounting
Lascaux adhesive hinging.
As we are a fast-paced workshop, excellent attention to detail, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a genuine interest in art are essential.
