Contract: Part-time (31 hours per week) - Wednesday - Saturday

We're now looking for a Front of House Assistant to join our passionate, skilled team.
Main Purpose of the Role
The Front of House (FOH) Assistant is primarily a customer facing role and also provides essential administrative and operational support to the Front of House team at FRAME London. This role is ideal for someone who is outgoing, highly organised and motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about art, craftsmanship, and exceptional client service.
You will support the smooth running of our FOH department by assisting with customer communication, administration, artwork logistics, and organisation. The role combines client support and administrative precision with hands-on tasks in a dynamic, creative environment.

Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Client Support
Respond rapidly to client enquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism and warmth and build customer relationships.
Provide administrative support to the Lead Design Consultant and FOH team to enhance efficiency and workflow.
Manage the shared calendar, book appointments, and handle incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Maintain accurate records in our framing software, including data entry, location coding, stock updates, and project documentation.
Assist with invoicing, filing, and other departmental paperwork.
Assist with the documentation and promotion of work via Frame London’s social media channels
Artwork & Logistics Support
Assist with the packaging, storage, and transport preparation of artworks and frames.
Liaise with suppliers, couriers, and art handlers to coordinate deliveries and collections.
Prepare protective materials such as folders, corners, and boxes for artwork.
Help maintain inventory and conduct bi-annual stock checks.
FOH Organisation
Support the organisation, labelling, and upkeep of frame samples.
Input relevant sample information into the database and ensure samples are stored correctly and neatly.
Maintain a neat and tidy workspace at all times.
Collaboration & Studio Support
Liaise with the wider FRAME London team to ensure FOH tasks align with technician schedules and project timelines.
Uphold FRAME London’s standards of presentation, care, and professionalism at all times.

FRAME London is a growing, fast-paced studio where priorities can shift quickly. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Strong time management and clear communication are essential.
Future Development
As FRAME London continues to expand, this role may develop to include additional responsibilities or an increase in working hours. Training will be provided in Frame London’s framing standards, art handling, and conservation framing techniques.
Person Specification
Education
Good general education (GCSE/O Levels or equivalent)
Qualifications related to design, art, or artwork presentation (desirable)
Technical / Professional Skills
Proven administrative and customer service experience
Customer service experience within an arts, gallery, or creative environment
Work Experience
Experience in a customer-facing or administrative role within a gallery, artist’s studio, or framing company; artwork or object handling experience
Experience in a framing environment (desirable)
Knowledge
Strong organisational and communication skills
Knowledge of the contemporary art world (desirable)
Knowledge of different social media channels and how to use them effectively (desirable)
Interpersonal Skills
Excellent team player; self-motivated and proactive; clear and confident communicator (written and verbal)
Interest in craftsmanship, design, or fine art
Other Requirements
Ability to manage time effectively, work flexibly, and maintain professionalism under pressure
Awareness of art handling best practices and conservation principles (desirable)
