We're now looking for a Lead Design Consultant to join our passionate, skilled team.
Purpose of the Role
Lead Design Consultant is the first point of contact for FRAME London’s clients, including artists, galleries, and museums. As the face of the business, this role is pivotal in delivering a warm, informed, and professional experience that reflects FRAME London’s values of craftsmanship, conservation and creativity.
This is a client-facing position that combines creative consultancy, advanced technical framing knowledge, and sales expertise. The ideal candidate will provide tailored design solutions, manage client relationships, and support internal processes to ensure the highest standards of service and product delivery in a timely and efficient manner.. This role also supports the studio’s strategic growth through lead generation and maintaining long-term client satisfaction.
The scope of this role is dependant on the experience of the candidate. This role is perfect for someone who is innovative and would like a role that they can develop.

Key responsibilities:
Client Services & Sales
Act as the first point of contact for all clients and visitors, embodying FRAME London’s ethos
Manage all quotes and enquiries ensuring quick response times and direct communications. Follow up on quotes, convert enquiries into confirmed sales, and develop long-term client relationships
Be proactive in developing new client relationships and bringing in new business opportunities for the company
Manage the FOH Assistant in their work and development & maintain the shop and sample display area to exacting standards
Provide expert advice on framing and artwork presentation using appropriate terminology
Deliver tailored design consultations and produce detailed job estimates
Process payments and maintain accurate administrative and invoicing records
Provide excellent client relations both at FRAME and for on-site client and gallery visits
Design & Technical Support
Help to facilitate the design of museum-standard and customer-specific framing and display solutions based on the clients specific needs
Offer creative and technical support to realise complex design projects.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of conservation-grade materials and techniques
Liaise with the workshop and studio managers and directors in the development, fabrication of complex designs. As well as labelling and maintaining of sample products, and cataloging systems
Use and help develop FRAME London’s web-based framing and quoting software
Operations & Studio Coordination
Coordinate scheduling of consultations and studio space in collaboration with the Studio Manager
Ensure the Front of House and sample areas are presentable, organised, and maintained daily
Respond to assigned quote requests efficiently and according to production priorities
Support internal workflow by standardising communication templates and improving internal systems
Assist with the pricing strategy and conduct market research as required
