Frame London has collaborated with Erin O’Keefe alongside Seventeen, to launch a new FRAME edition. The work, titled Meet up, is part of FRAME London's ongoing series of artist editions, collaborations between artist and framer in which the frame becomes an integral part of the artwork. Each limited edition piece is presented in stained maple with matching filets, produced to the artist's specification and handcrafted in FRAME London's studio in Hackney.
In this unique collaboration with FRAME London, O'Keefe's interest in spatial relationships and the tension between two and three dimensions finds perfect expression. Meet Up allows her to extend her artistic investigation beyond the photographic plane, with the handcrafted frame functioning not merely as a container but as a dimensional extension of the work itself.
The collaboration process involved close dialogue between O'Keefe and FRAME London, resulting in a frame design that responds directly to the optical play and geometric precision characteristic of O'Keefe's photographic practice.
